Tualatin, OR - (April 1, 2003) - Oregon Scientific, Inc. today acknowledged its receipt of three, different, yet very distinct, awards for excellence.

The company has been named:

* One of the Toys "R" Us Vendors of the Year 2002
* Mattel, Inc.'s Barbie Consumer Products Licensee of the Year
* Positive Image News 2003 Editor's Choice for Most Innovative Educational Product Line.

The awards were presented to Oregon Scientific at three different occasions during The International Toy Fair, the premier toy industry trade show, which was recently held in New York City. Steve Jackson, Executive Vice President of Oregon Scientific, said, "It is a great honor to be recognized for the high standards and quality of product and service we strive to achieve at Oregon Scientific. To be acknowledged in three very different arenas is a tremendous honor for the company."

Toys "R" Us presented The Vendor of the Year 2002 Award to Oregon Scientific in a personal visit to the company showroom in "The Toy Building," 200 5th Ave. Engraved on The Vendor of the Year Award for Oregon Scientific is, "In recognition of commitment, dedication and attention to helping us (Toys "R" Us) be the worldwide resource for kids, families and fun."

At the Oregon Scientific Toy Fair Cocktail Party, the editors of Positive Image News made a surprise announcement for the company with the Editor's Choice Award for "Most Innovative Educational Products" for its current and continuing line of electronic learning products for children.

Oregon Scientific was the big winner at the 7th Mattel, Inc. Barbie Consumer Products' Toy Fair party taking home honors as Licensee of the Year for the company's efforts to bring the Barbie® brand into the educational toy arena. The company was singled out as this year's winner from approximately 120 domestic licensees. Oregon Scientific's Barbie™ B-Book™ learning laptop, among other products in its line of electronic learning products, has been a best selling item for more than two years, according to Mattel's Barbie Consumer Products department.

Last year, Oregon Scientific received the "Best Hardlines Design and Execution Award" for outstanding achievement in design and sales from Mattel, Inc.'s Barbie Consumer Products.
