Ewaste Eddie License Available at the Toy and Game Inventors Forum (TGIF) in Las Vegas, Nevada
9th September, 2004
Computer Recycling For Education Launches the Universal Licensing of its Ewaste Eddie theme character for toys, plush dolls, games, apparel, movies, animation/TV, publishing, stationery and collectibles in time for the Christmas season.
Rancho Murieta, CA September 9, 2004 -- Computer Recycling For Education today launched a International Licensing product campaign to promote the licensing of their theme character Ewaste Eddie. The campaign features a cartoon elephant called Ewaste Eddie that proclaims, “Remember to Ecycle-it”
Ewaste Eddie will be advertised for licensing at the Toy & Game Inventors Forum (TGIF) to be held September 10-12 in Las Vegas, Nevada in Plaything’s 2004 Annual Inventors and Designers Guide. Manufacturers, designers, agents, representatives and licensees are encouraged to look for the Ewaste Eddie banner, and in the 2004 Inventors and Designers Guide which will be distributed at the convention forum.
Ewaste Eddie can be licensed for plush dolls, toys, board games, cartoons, apparel, posters, public service announcements, consumer education campaigns, environmental education, educational software, curriculum, theme parks, books, posters, and much more.
“Our goal is for Ewaste Eddie with his ‘Remember to Ecycle-it’ proclamation to become universally recognized as the world wide icon for electronics waste (ewaste) prevention. The US Forest Service has a famous fire prevention bear, and we plan to make Ewaste Eddie the spokesperson for educating the public on electronics waste (ewaste) prevention,” said President Al Chaney.
Just imagine a Ewaste Eddie plush doll, or Ewaste Eddie bobble head and flyer bundled with a new computer, cell phone, television, DVD player or any other piece of electronics sold. A national fast food chain could give a Ewaste Eddie bendable toy or antenna ball with their meals. On the back of Ewaste Eddie and on the flyer, would be websites and phone numbers where consumers, business and government agencies could contact for the safe and proper disposal of electronics waste (e-waste). Kids from 8- to-80 could be educated on ewaste and enjoy the Ewaste Eddie toy. Buyers of the electronics could have information at the time of purchase, where to properly and safely dispose of their electronics when they become unwanted or obsolete. This will help to protect the environment.
With Ewaste Eddie’s universal appeal, mass merchandise retailers, computer retailers, office supply retailers, electronics retailers, computer manufacturers, food processors, home improvement retailers, and electronics manufacturers are also encouraged to seek licensing. Licensing of Ewaste Eddie can also be applied to businesses, municipalities, colleges, school districts, recyclers, waste haulers, government agencies and environmental organizations. These organizations may want to consider the licensing of Ewaste Eddie for promotional items such as t-shirts, mugs, pencils, sweat shirts, calendars, posters, coloring books, and bill inserts for their own education campaigns. A variety of products can be designed to educate, entertain and to protect the environment through consumer awareness.
Ewaste Eddie’s copyrighted character, trademark and concept is receiving interest from a range of professionals from industry associations such as electronics and environmental.
