Advanced RISC Machines (ARM) Based JTAG Emulator
24th January, 2010
Toronto, Canada - GAO Embedded recommends this plug and play JTAG emulator designed based on ARMs popular DSP. It has a built-in 20-pin JTAG which is compatible with the standard 20-pin connector defined by ARM; an optional 14-pin JTAG adaptor is also available. The emulator monitors most JTAG signals, measures target voltage and supports adaptive clocking and multiple devices. This advanced emulator can be connected to a PC running under Microsoft Windows 2000, 2003, XP and Vista operating systems.
GAO's J-link ARM emulator supports any ARM7 or ARM9 core and features automatic core recognition, auto speed recognition and seamless integration into the IAR Embedded Workbench® IDE. It provides a standard high-speed USB 2.0 interface: maximum JTAG speed is 12MHz, download speed is up to 720Kb/s, and DCC speed is up to 800kbps. The target voltage ranges from 1.2V to 3.3V. This embedded trace buffer (ETB) supported emulator offers a Flash DLL which allows for flash functionality in custom applications; a RDI DLL is also available for the use of J-link with RDI compliant software.
