Schaffner EMC, a leading provider of EMI/RFI components and solutions for power quality, has named Jim Entwistle of Newark as Distributor Product Manager of the Year during the EDS trade show awards reception on May 6th in Las Vegas, NV. By analyzing point of sale (POS) data supplied by its distribution network, Schaffner determines the annual recipient based on an overall increase in new business opportunities as compared to the previous year.

Jim Entwistle, Newark's senior supplier account manager, was given Schaffner's Distributor Product Manager of the Year Award, based on several successful marketing programs. Entwistle developed a marketing program that yielded new growth for both Newark and Schaffner EMC, Inc. As a result of Entwistle's marketing efforts, Newark experienced an overall growth of 18% for new business opportunities for Schaffner.

Entwistle noted, "I am honored to accept this award, which is symbolic of the efforts put forth in Newark's extensive target marketing program to promote Schaffner's products in order to educate potential customers on the company's exceptional line of power quality components. Building on this success, Newark will continue to be a major launching pad for new product introductions to mutual customers."
